project brief

Following the manager-led buyback and the firm’s separation from its publicly traded parent company, we were engaged to lead the marketing and comprehensive rebranding initiative for this national professional services firm. The critical challenge was to swiftly and effectively re-establish the firm’s independent identity in the market. Our work followed a rapid, strategic process that involved three core foundational elements: restructuring the multi-service firm’s offerings (in collaboration with leadership), developing a new brand strategy, and creating a new visual identity. Once these elements were established, we simultaneously spearheaded content production and a public relations campaign while designing and developing the new website.

A key to the project’s success was our ability to move expeditiously, aligning the new brand’s launch precisely with the buyback’s closing date. This strategic alignment ensured a seamless transition, minimized market confusion, successfully repositioned the firm as an     independent entity, and set the stage for its future growth. This project in 2005 was just one of several projects performed for Vertex over the span of 20+ years. Read about other work with Vertex here.

Vertex needed to rebrand and reposition in the market quickly. Having a focused team working on the brand and website, while simultaneously collaborating with our practitioners to position services was crucial to our success. We were able to quickly re-establish Vertex in the industry; it set the stage so we could focus on growth.
